Ropemakers Cottage

Ropemakers Cottage is an end-of-terrace cottage for two in the middle of Bridport. Shops, cafes and pubs are 100 metres away and the beach is 2 miles. A shared path from the road runs along the front of the terrace, and the length from the road to the cottage is 44 metres, ending at a gate and the private entrance.

The lounge/diner has a Smart TV, a wood burner with the first basket of logs included, and a dining table. The kitchen next door is fitted with vintage kitchenalia and has an induction hob, a combination microwave oven and a fridge with an ice compartment. A steep, winding cottage-style staircase rises to the first floor, where the king-size bedroom and the bathroom, with a shower over the bath and a WC, are found. Some rooms have low ceilings.

The enclosed gravel garden is across the shared path and is reached from either the lounge or the kitchen. It has old stone walls, established planting, a small patio and a summer house with furniture. An outdoor hose is on hand for muddy boots and paws.

Parking is on the street nearby, unallocated and subject to availability, with a pay-and-display car park 2 minutes' walk away. A travel cot and a highchair can be provided. Dogs are accepted, up to two, and an extra charge is made. The cottage suits a couple who want to be among the shops and pubs on foot and do not mind steep stairs and low ceilings.
