Rose Barn - Southover

Rose Barn is a detached two-storey cottage on a quiet lane in the hamlet of Southover, near Dorchester, with an address given as Frampton. It sleeps two. A small staircase from the lounge leads up to a mezzanine bedroom with a king-size bed, tucked beneath the eaves, where head height is limited. It suits a couple, with up to two dogs welcome and additional charges possible.

Inside the door is a hallway for coats and boots, with a utility cupboard holding a Miele washing machine, and passes the shower room with WC on the way to the kitchen. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, an under-counter fridge freezer and a dishwasher. A couple of steps separate the kitchen from the compact lounge and dining area, which has a drop-leaf dining table, a Smart TV and a wood burner, with logs supplied. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

The courtyard garden is enclosed and private, with outdoor seating. There is a private off-road parking space for one car. From the front door there are footpaths and National Cycle Route 26, and you can wander down to the bridge over the River Frome.

The pub and shops are 2.5 miles away and the beach is 11 miles. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is before 10am.
