Sailor's Watch

Sailor's Watch is a maisonette-style apartment over the first and second floors, overlooking the inner harbour and the historic bridge in Weymouth. A ground-level front door opens onto a shared passage, and at the back a small gate and steps lead to the first-floor entrance. Inside, a south-facing sun room leads to the kitchen/diner, which has a range cooker, and the apartment also has a dishwasher and a washing machine.

A couple of wooden steps lead up to the sitting room, where the bay window looks over the harbour and bridge. The family bathroom on this floor has a full-size bath. Three bedrooms are upstairs on the second floor: the super-king-size has harbour views, while the king-size and the twin are at the back, down a few wooden stairs. A WC with a walk-in shower is also on the second floor, and the apartment sleeps six.

The enclosed, artificially turfed garden and terrace sit behind a wall, and a travel cot is available. One well-behaved dog is welcome. Smoking is not allowed, and stag and hen parties are not accepted.

Parking is on the street under a Zone L permit, subject to availability, so a space cannot be guaranteed, and the permit expires on 12 June 2027, subject to council renewal. A council car park nearby charges a fee. The shop and pub are both within 0.1 miles. Fayre in the Square (usually the late May bank holiday weekend) and the Wessex Folk Festival (usually the first weekend of June) close the harbour and Hope Square to traffic. The apartment suits a family or two couples who like a private garden and a short walk to the harbour.
