Sea Shanty Cottage

Sea Shanty Cottage is one of a short terrace of stone cottages in Swanage, with almost direct access to the coast path. Swanage's restaurants, pubs and shops are a short walk away, and the path leads west to Durlston, Worth Matravers, Kimmeridge and Lulworth.

Access is down a short, fairly steep slope. Inside, the living area has seating and a TV, and the kitchen has an electric cooker and hob, a microwave, a fridge and a small freezer. The three bedrooms are spread over two upper floors. A staircase leads to the first floor, where a double bedroom looks across the bay and a bunk bedroom sits further along. A tiled shower room with a WC is on the same floor. More stairs lead to the third bedroom, which has a super king-size bed and sea views.

The second shower room, with a WC, is in a small outbuilding reached through the kitchen and up seven fairly steep steps, and the washing machine is out there too.

In front is a walled courtyard-style garden facing the sea, with outdoor furniture. An unallocated roadside permit lets one car park behind the cottages. Towels can be provided for an additional charge, and dogs are not allowed. The cottage suits a family or a group of friends who are happy with a steep approach and a shower room up a flight of steps.
