Seasides

Seasides is a large Georgian townhouse in Weymouth, positioned between the beach and the harbour, with shops and pubs 1 minute's walk away. It sleeps 13 over five levels, with a games room in the basement, the main living space on the ground floor and six bedrooms above. The front windows look over Weymouth Bay and the sand, and the rear windows look over the harbour and the yachts and fishing boats passing.

The ground floor is one large double-aspect room that combines a lounge, kitchen and dining area, with a veranda off the same level. In the basement, a second lounge doubles as a games room, with an arcade-style machine, books and games, and a large utility room. The house also has a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Outside, a small decked area has bistro tables and chairs.

Each bedroom is named for its view. Beach View 1, 2 and 3 each have a king-size bed; Harbour View 1 has a super-king, Harbour View 2 a super-king or twin singles (say which when booking), and Harbour View 3 a double and a single. Four have en-suite shower rooms, Beach View 3 has a bathroom with a bath and Harbour View 3 a shower room.

Parking takes two small cars or one large one, and there are two on-road permits for Zone F in the town centre, with no guarantee of a space. Electric cars can charge from a standard outdoor socket at the rear. Please do not use barbecues on the resin yard or the timber deck. Two cots and high chairs are provided, but guests bring their own cot linen, a good housekeeping bond is payable, and pets and smoking are not allowed. Festivals bring road closures and parking restrictions. It suits a big family gathering or several couples sharing, with a games room on the lower ground floor for the evenings.
