South Chapel

South Chapel is a semi-detached former chapel built of natural stone, on a quiet no-through road in Beaminster. The layout is reversed: the entrance hall and one bedroom are on the ground floor, and the living space is upstairs. It sleeps four.

A carport covers the main entrance. On the ground floor, the first bedroom has a king-size bed that can be set up as twin beds if you ask when booking. A door leads to the walled courtyard garden, which is enclosed, not overlooked and has garden furniture. A flight of stairs climbs to the sitting room, which has a high ceiling, a decorative fireplace, a Smart TV and a dining table. The kitchen next door has an electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a fridge, a small freezer and a microwave.

The second king-size bedroom is at the rear on the first floor and looks over the playing fields. Both bedrooms share the first-floor bathroom, which has an L-shaped shower bath and a WC. A travel cot and highchair are available, but stairgates are not provided, which matters with a staircase between the floors.

Parking is in the carport, which takes a small or medium car, or on the road free of charge within 10 yards, or in a pay and display car park a couple of minutes' walk away. A children's playground is also a couple of minutes' walk away. Dogs are not allowed. The beach is 7.5 miles away, and pubs and shops are a short walk. It suits a family or two couples who do not need a dog.
