Spindrift

Spindrift stands on Brewers Quay Harbour in Weymouth, a house with original features and contemporary decor. The open-plan living space combines a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with a balcony, and the front balcony has furniture. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a washing machine and a dishwasher, and the house has a Smart TV and WiFi. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

There are four bedrooms for six guests. The king-size has an en-suite with a walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, WC and bidet, and the others are a double, a single and a single on the ground floor. The main bathroom has a bath with a shower over, and a separate cloakroom has a basin and WC.

At the back is an enclosed courtyard with furniture, with doors that open onto it from the house. Parking is for one car in a secure gated area. Weymouth Harbour is 0.4 miles away, the beach 0.5 miles, and the shop and pub just 0.1 miles.

Plan for steps to the exterior, which call for some care, and check-in is from 4pm with check-out by 10am. Neither pets nor smoking are allowed. The harbour and Hope Square are closed to traffic for two free festivals, Fayre In The Square, usually over the late May Bank Holiday weekend, and the Wessex Folk Festival, usually the first weekend of June, which bring road closures and parking restrictions. It suits a family or two couples who want separate bedrooms, with one single bed downstairs.
