St Helena

St Helena stands on raised ground in Charmouth, and its glass-balustraded terrace looks toward Golden Cap and, on clear days, as far as Portland. The house sleeps six in three bedrooms: a king-size, a double and a twin whose beds zip and link into a super-king on request. There is a ground-floor bathroom with a bath and shower over it, and an upstairs shower room with a walk-in cubicle. Both have heated towel rails.

The kitchen/diner has an induction hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer, and the sitting room has large bay windows. Two Smart TVs and WiFi are provided, gas central heating is fitted, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. A secure parcel box takes deliveries.

The garden wraps around the house, with a patio, lawn, furniture and a barbecue. Hedges on banks border it, so it is not completely secure for children or dogs. Parking takes two cars, with more on-street spaces nearby, but 13 shallow steps climb from the parking spaces to the front of the house and 3 more lead from the path to the front door. A nearby footpath leads to Charmouth's fossil beach, and the shop is 0.3 miles away, the pub 0.2 miles and the beach 0.3 miles.

Up to two dogs are welcome, smoking is not allowed, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms and room for two cars, it suits a family or two couples travelling with dogs who are happy with the steps.
