St Johns View

St John's View is a contemporary detached house on the Isle of Portland, laid out over a ground floor and a lower ground floor. Both bedrooms are on the lower ground floor, so there are stairs between them and the ground-floor cloakroom. The sitting room has a wood-burning stove, and a large grassed area comes with the house.

One bedroom is a king-size double with an en-suite shower room, and the other is a double. The bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. The kitchen has a dining area, an electric oven and hob, a microwave, an air fryer, an under-counter fridge, a washing machine and a dishwasher, and there is gas central heating and WiFi. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. A cot and a highchair are available; guests supply their own cot linen. No more than four people can stay.

Parking for two cars is off a very narrow one-way street that has cars parked along one side all the time. The adjacent church has a tower clock that strikes through the day and night. The beach, the shop and the pub are each about 5 minutes away, and the booking carries a good-housekeeping bond.

One well-behaved dog is welcome for an extra weekly charge per dog, and is not allowed in the bedrooms. No smoking. It suits a couple, or a small family, who want a stove-lit sitting room and a short walk to the pebble beach.
