Stanley House

Stanley House stands on the harbour in Weymouth, a few paces from Weymouth Sailing Club and the Lifeboat Station, and it rises over four floors. The house has a living and dining room, a utility room and a kitchen with an antique petrol pump as its feature, and a first-floor sitting room looks over the harbour. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer and a washing machine. The house has Sky TV and WiFi.

Eight guests sleep in four bedrooms. A king-size is on the first floor, the second-floor king-size has an en-suite with a walk-in shower and heated towel rail, and two smaller doubles sit under the eaves on the third floor. The family bathroom has a bath with a shower over and a double basin. Gas central heating is fitted, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included. A cot and a highchair are available.

A small rooftop terrace has outdoor furniture. Off-road parking takes two cars, and each bay is 4.25m long and 2.14m wide. The shop and pub are 0.1 miles away and the beach is 0.5 miles.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 10am, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. The harbour and Hope Square close to traffic for two free festivals, Fayre In The Square, usually over the late May Bank Holiday weekend, and the Wessex Folk Festival, usually the first weekend of June, which bring road closures and parking restrictions. The house suits a family or two couples with dogs who can manage the stairs between four floors.
