Sticks And Stones

Sticks And Stones is a first-floor apartment beside the owners' home at Littlewindsor, near Bridport, with Beaminster also within easy reach. It is surrounded by pastureland. A shared driveway leads to it, and external steps climb to the front door. It sleeps four, in a double bedroom and a twin.

The door opens into an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner lit by skylights. The lounge has a TV, the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine, and the dining table seats four. A large hallway leads to the two bedrooms, and the one shower room has a shower and WC. There are books, DVDs and games to borrow.

Directly in front of the apartment is an enclosed garden with a lawn and a picnic bench, looking across the fields. A wild meadow runs beside it, with a stone circle and a BBQ area that backs onto woodland, and a charcoal BBQ is available. Off-road parking for 2 cars is next to the garden entrance.

Two dogs are allowed, with additional charges that may apply. They are not permitted in the bedrooms, and a dog gate is provided. Electric cars cannot be charged from the apartment under any circumstances, and the nearest charging points are in Bridport and West Bay, about 8 miles away. The Wi-Fi can be unreliable and is not strong enough to stream films. The shop and pub are 1.5 miles away and the beach is 8 miles. It suits two couples or a family of four who can manage external steps.
