Stone Barn

Stone Barn is a small cottage in the grounds of a Purbeck stone house on the edge of Worth Matravers, close to Langton Matravers. The cottage is for two people. The Square and Compass pub and a tearoom overlooking the pond are a short stroll away.

Exposed stone walls run through an open-plan living area, where a kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge with an ice compartment. A table sits by French doors that open to the garden, with views across the fields to the sea. A wide archway divides the living area from the sleeping area, which has a king-size bed, and there is an en-suite shower room with a WC. A TV/DVD is provided. Central heating and electric are included, and so is Wi-Fi.

From the dining area a few stone steps lead down to the garden. It is enclosed, south-facing and laid to lawn, with an outdoor table and chairs, loungers and a BBQ. One car can park just outside the cottage. One small dog is welcome, with additional charges possible. Arrival is from 15:30 and departure is before 10:00. The cottage suits a couple, with or without a small dog, who want a quiet base with a garden to sit in.
