Tane

Tane is a semi-detached house in the centre of Winterborne Stickland, with the village pub 0.2 miles away and a shop 0.4 miles. The drive takes up to three cars, and a shed holds bikes and outdoor gear. An entrance porch leads to a central hallway with a ground-floor cloakroom.

The sitting room at the front looks across the village and has a traditional open fire. Kitchen and dining room, which has a dresser, are separate rooms. A twin bedroom on the ground floor overlooks the garden. Upstairs are a king-size bedroom and the bathroom, which has a bath, a separate walk-in shower, a basin and a heated towel rail. Four can sleep here, with a highchair and travel cot stored in the cupboard under the stairs.

The enclosed rear garden climbs over several levels: a level patch for outdoor dining at the back, then a path up to a lawn and decked terrace. At the top stands a shepherd's hut with its own decked seating, a day bed and a fridge. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge freezer, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a kettle and a toaster. Central heating is electric, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Smoking is not allowed. A good housekeeping bond is payable. It suits a family of four or two couples who want a village base with a ground-floor bedroom and a big garden.
