The Arc

The Arc is a restored traditional cottage for four on a street 200 metres from the centre of Swanage. The shop and pub are 200 metres away and the beach is 0.5 miles. The Swanage Steam Railway is a short 300-metre walk away, and the church is close enough that you will hear the bells.

The living room has flagstone floors, deep windowsills, a comfortable sofa and a wood burner, and the first basket of logs is supplied. A dining table stands at the end of the room, and a door leads to the long galley kitchen, which has a Butler sink, a compact island with stools, a gas hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a fridge, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Upstairs are a twin bedroom at the front and a double at the rear, with a modern bathroom that has a bath with a shower over it.

A courtyard garden on two levels is reached from the kitchen. It is shared with the property next door and is not enclosed. Two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. Parking is available on the street only. A travel cot and a highchair are available, and the TV is a smart TV. Check-in starts at 4pm and check-out is before 10am.

It suits a couple or friends, with a dog or two, who like a wood burner and a short walk to the town.
