The Courtyard Loft

The Courtyard Loft is a loft apartment beside the owners' home in the village of Chetnole, near Sherborne. External timber steps lead up to the entrance, which is worth knowing if stairs are a problem.

A small vestibule opens to the kitchen/diner, which has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge with an ice compartment and a dishwasher. Use of a washing machine is arranged directly with the owner. The lounge has a Smart TV and a wood burner, with the first basket of logs included from October to April. The king-size bedroom has an en-suite shower room. The booking is for two, and a lounge sofa bed suits one adult or two children.

A corridor leads from the kitchen to the games room, where a full-size snooker table sits under exposed beams beside a bar area. The gravelled garden, with furniture and a charcoal barbecue, is about 30 metres from the entrance across the courtyard. A tennis court next to the property can be used by arrangement with the owner. Off-road parking is for two cars.

Two dogs are allowed, with additional charges. The pub is within 100 metres, the shop is 3 miles away and the beach is 14 miles. A highchair and travel cot are available on request. The loft suits a couple who like a pub on the doorstep and an evening of snooker.
