The Doves

The Doves is an annexe attached to the owner's home on the outskirts of Burton Bradstock, looking over Freshwater Bay and the south-west coast. Downstairs, the living/dining room has patio doors onto a terrace with furniture. The ground floor also has a compact kitchen and a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, basin and WC. The village is known for Hive Beach and its cafe, two pubs, a shop and a post office.

Upstairs is a second double bedroom, also en-suite, with raised views across the coast and out to sea. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer and a washing machine, and the annexe has a TV, a DVD player and WiFi. Oil-fired central heating is fitted, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Both bedrooms are double beds, so the annexe sleeps four as two couples rather than as a family with small children.

Seven steps lead from the parking area to the lawn and the entrance, and parking is off the road for one car. Bookings are for a minimum of seven nights, Saturday to Saturday. A shop and a pub are a 10-minute walk away. Neither pets nor smoking are allowed. It is best for two couples or friends who each want a double bedroom with its own en-suite.
