The Firs - Dorset

The Firs is a one-bedroom cottage on a single level in Child Okeford, a village near Farrington. It sleeps two, in a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room holding a shower cubicle and a WC. Children under 5 are not accepted, and dogs are not allowed.

The living, dining and kitchen area is open plan, with patio doors and plenty of windows, a breakfast bar, a dining table and a Smart TV in the lounge. The kitchen has an electric oven, an electric hob, a microwave, a fridge and a dishwasher. A welcome pack is provided. The washing machine is in a shared external utility room on site, not inside the cottage.

The garden is enclosed, with a patio and garden furniture. Private parking is for one car. The shop and pub are 0.5 miles away, and the beach is 20 miles. The village also has a farm shop and a cafe, and the Iron Age hill forts of Hambledon Hill and Hod Hill are 1 mile away, on the edge of Cranborne Chase. The cottage can be booked alongside other properties on the same site that sleep a further 8 guests.

Check-in is from 4pm and check-out before 10am. The cottage suits a couple or a solo traveller without children or dogs.
