The Old Stable - Dorset

The Old Stable is a detached one-bedroom cottage in Child Okeford, near Farrington, converted in 2026. A small step leads to the entrance. It sleeps two, in a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a WC.

Inside, old beams run along the vaulted ceiling. The kitchen/diner is to the left of the entrance, with an electric oven, an electric hob, a microwave, a fridge and a dishwasher, and a dining table to one side. The room has views over the garden, with a sofa and a Smart TV. A welcome pack is provided.

The courtyard garden is enclosed and has furniture, and parking is for one car. The washing machine is in a shared external utility room on site, so it is not inside the property. Children under 5 are not accepted, and dogs are not allowed.

The shop and pub are 0.5 miles away, and the beach is 20 miles. The Iron Age hill fort on Hambledon Hill is 1 mile from the doorstep, and Blandford Forum, with its Royal Signals Museum, is 6.5 miles away. The property can be booked alongside other properties on the same site that sleep a further 8 guests. It suits a couple or a solo traveller who want a short walk to the village pub.
