The Hive - Burton Bradstock

The Hive sits in the middle of Burton Bradstock and sleeps four. The lounge and dining room share an open-plan space with an exposed stone fireplace, a wood burner (the first basket of logs is included), sofas and a window seat. A step up from there is a galley kitchen with an electric oven and induction hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge.

Off the kitchen is a utility cupboard with the washing machine and a door to the shower room. Upstairs, the king-size bedroom looks onto the lane, and there is a separate WC on the same level. A couple more steps up is the twin bedroom in the eaves, which overlooks the garden and has restricted head height in places. A Smart TV is available in the lounge, and a hair dryer is also available.

The rear hall leads to a path shared with the adjoining cottage, then steps up to the landscaped garden. It has a summer house, borders, a patio with furniture and a lawn, and it is an open garden, not an enclosed one. Parking is on the road within 50 metres, subject to availability.

The beach, shop and pubs are all within 800 metres. Dogs are not accepted. It suits a couple, or two couples, who want a walk to everything and a wood burner in the evening.
