The Kings Statue

Across the road from Weymouth Beach, The Kings Statue is a second-floor apartment in Weymouth with a seafront position. Bay windows in the open-plan living space look out over the water, and a shop and pub are 0.1 miles away. Takeaway kiosks near the beach sell ice cream and fish and chips, and Sandsfoot Castle and the South West Coast Path trail to Wyke Regis can be reached on foot.

Inside, a kitchen, a dining table and a sitting area share the main room. The apartment has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer, plus a TV and WiFi. One bedroom has a king-size bed and the other is a twin, and the shower room has a walk-in shower, basin and WC. Both rooms have space to store your belongings.

The climb is the thing to weigh up. From the communal hallway a few stairs lead to a landing, then four half-flights go up to the apartment door, and there is no lift.

Electric central heating, fuel and power, bed linen and towels are all part of the booking. Pets and smoking are not permitted. It is best for four people, such as a family or two couples, who want a beachfront base and can manage the stairs.
