The Linhay

The Linhay is a stone-fronted barn conversion on the outskirts of Bridport, one of four converted farm buildings on the same site. Downstairs, the kitchen, dining area and sitting area share a single open-plan room, and the shower room (shower, basin and WC) is on this floor too. Oil central heating is fitted, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent.

Both bedrooms are up the stairs, one with a double bed and one a twin, so four guests is the limit, and the only shower room is back down on the ground floor. A highchair, stairgate and travel cot can be requested. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a washing machine, and the sitting area has a TV and DVD player, with WiFi in the property.

Out the front there is a patio with furniture and an enclosed yard, a handy spot to let a dog out. One well-behaved dog is welcome, and off-road parking is provided at the cottage. The nearest shop is 2.9 miles away and the nearest pub 1.4 miles, and road noise is to be expected.

Smoking is not allowed. Check-in is from 3.30pm and check-out is at 10am, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. The Linhay suits a small family or a group of friends, particularly anyone travelling with a dog.
