The Lookout -The House With A View

The Lookout is a house over three floors close to Weymouth, with sea views over Portland from the sitting room. The house has a kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room, and appliances include a dishwasher, a washing machine, a tumble dryer, a microwave and a fridge freezer. Gas central heating, fuel and power, bed linen and towels are all included.

Three bedrooms sleep six: a king-size on the second floor, a double and a twin. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, and the ground-floor wet room has a walk-in shower, handy after a day on the beach, alongside a cloakroom. A highchair and a cot are available.

There is a front garden and an enclosed back lawn with a patio. One well-behaved dog is welcome and no other animals are accepted. Guests must keep the dog downstairs and clear all mess from the garden. Parking is on the road, first come, first served. Smoking is not allowed, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable.

Smallmouth beach is a five-minute walk along the Rodwell Trail, the old railway line, which also leads the other way into the town centre, and the National Sailing Academy is a five-minute drive. The shop is 0.2 miles away and the pub 0.6 miles. The minimum stay is three nights. From the second week of July to the end of the third week of September in 2027 and 2028, bookings are seven nights starting on a Friday. It suits a family of six, with or without a dog, who like views and a garden.
