The Magnolias - Burton Bradstock

The Magnolias is a detached, double-fronted house in the centre of Burton Bradstock, on a no-through road. Parts of it date back to medieval times, and it has been restored. A private front door opens into a hallway. The sitting room to the left has an open fire, and the dining room to the right has a wood burner, with logs included from October to April.

The kitchen at the back has a stone floor and a gas-fired AGA with integral electric hobs, a combination microwave oven, a fridge, a dishwasher and a filter coffee machine. The utility room has a washing machine and an American-style fridge/freezer, and a separate WC is on the ground floor. A Smart TV is available in the lounge.

Upstairs are three king-size bedrooms for six guests. One has an en-suite shower room, and the other two share a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC, which was newly fitted in 2023.

A door by the kitchen leads to an enclosed garden with a patio, furniture, a generous lawn and cottage-style planting. Off-road parking is for one car on a gravel area behind wooden gates, which can be closed to keep the garden enclosed, with further roadside parking subject to availability. Barbecues are strictly not permitted in the grounds because thatched properties are close by. The dog allowance is one, with extra charges possible. The beach is 800 metres away and the pub and shop are within 200 metres. It suits a group of three couples, or a family with adult children, who want a bedroom each.
