The Old Barn

The Old Barn stands in Stourton Caundle, a village of about 400 people near Sturminster Newton, and it is set alongside the owner's pub. It sleeps two, with a double bedroom, and a travel cot and a highchair can be provided on request. The open-plan living space combines a kitchen, a dining area with a traditional church pew and a sitting area with a Chesterfield sofa and a Smart TV.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge, a microwave, a dishwasher, a kettle and a toaster, with a breakfast bar for coffee. The shower room has a walk-in shower, a basin and a WC. Fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent, and there is WiFi.

Outside areas are all shared. The enclosed rear garden has a lawn, gravelled areas, a picnic bench and outdoor seating, and guests can also use the beer tent behind the pub, which has tables, chairs and an outdoor bar. Off-road parking takes two cars. The pub is 0.1 miles away and the nearest shop is 2.5 miles. A two-mile Stile Trail starts near the Trooper Inn in the village.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, and smoking is not allowed. A good-housekeeping bond is payable. The barn suits a couple with dogs who want a pub next door and a garden to share.
