The Studio At Coking Farm Fishery

The Studio sits at Coking Farm Fishery in West Stour, near Sturminster Newton, and is a single-storey property renovated in 2022. A gate opens to one studio-style room for two guests, with a double bed set in the middle of the space and views across the courtyard to the fields beyond.

A dividing wall with open shelving separates the kitchen area from the rest of the room. It has an electric oven, a two-ring hob and a fridge with an ice compartment, so it suits light meals. A table for two stands opposite, and a compact sofa faces the Smart TV. There is no washing machine in the studio itself; one is available in a shared outbuilding next to it. The shower room is off the main room, and there is a step up into the shower cubicle.

Patio doors open onto a covered terrace at the front, which looks out to distant countryside. A second gravelled terrace at the side has a table, chairs and a charcoal barbecue, and the courtyard garden is enclosed. The off-road parking space is for one car. The studio is on a working fishery with lakes on site, which must be booked by telephone directly with the fishery in advance. A bait shop and cafe are on the site too, and their hours vary. The nearest shop and pub are 2 miles away.

One dog is allowed, and extra charges may apply. The studio suits a couple, with or without a dog, who want a compact base. It can be booked alongside The Farmhouse at the same fishery, which sleeps eight more.
