The Old Haberdashery

The Old Haberdashery takes its name from its earlier life as a sewing shop in the village of Langton Matravers, 2.7 miles from Swanage. Exposed stone walls, original beams and Velux windows survive from that time. The pub is 0.3 miles away and the beach is 2.5 miles away.

The ground floor is an open-plan room with a kitchen, a dining area and a sitting area with an electric fire, plus the bathroom, which has a bath fitted with a shower over it. Kitchen equipment is an induction hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge with an ice-box. The king-size bedroom and the twin are on the first floor, and the twin's zip-and-link beds can be made up as a super-king on request.

Electric central heating, WiFi and a Smart TV are provided, and guests do not pay separately for fuel, power, bed linen or towels. A hairdryer, iron and ironing board are supplied, and roadside parking is available.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, but not upstairs or on the furniture. Smoking is not allowed. The cottage adjoins the owner's home, a good-housekeeping bond is payable, and it can be booked together with another property for a combined party of six. It suits a couple or small family with a dog who are happy to keep the dog downstairs.
