The Old Orchard Silton

The Old Orchard is a single-level lodge set in an orchard at Silton, a village near Gillingham and within reach of Motcombe. It sleeps two, in one king-size bedroom, and it is not suitable for children or infants.

Inside, an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area has exposed beams, a wood burner (the first basket of logs is supplied), a Smart TV and wide glass doors out to the garden. The kitchen has an induction hob, a microwave, an air fryer and a fridge with an icebox. The shower room has a large cubicle shower and a WC, and shampoo, conditioner and body wash are supplied.

The front garden has a seating area with furniture, a chimenea and a charcoal BBQ and a pizza oven, so evenings can be spent outside around the chimenea. Private parking is for two cars. Directly opposite the lodge is a large field for exercising a dog.

One small dog is allowed, and additional charges may apply. The shop is 1.4 miles away and the pub is 1 mile. The lodge suits a couple, with or without a small dog, who want a quiet base with a wood burner and a garden to sit out in.
