The Old School House Powerstock

The Old School House is a detached, Grade II listed former Victorian school in Powerstock, a village near Bridport and a short way from Shipton Gorge. It sleeps eight across four bedrooms: a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be set up as a twin if you ask when booking), a twin room and two doubles. A gravel driveway and four steps lead up to the front door.

Downstairs there is a sitting and dining room with a wood burner and a Smart TV, a kitchen with an electric double oven and hob, a dishwasher, a microwave and a coffee machine, and a utility room with a washer/dryer. The first basket of logs is supplied from October to April. Two bathrooms serve the bedrooms: a Jack and Jill bathroom with a shower over the bath, and an en-suite shower room. There is also a separate WC, and a cot is available in the twin room.

Outside, the rear terrace has furniture and a charcoal barbecue, and there is a lawn at the front. The house comes with four off-road parking spaces. The beach is 5 miles away, the nearest shop 4 miles, and a pub is within 500 metres. Subject to availability, the house can be booked together with two further properties to sleep 16 in all.

Dogs are not allowed. The house suits a family or a group of friends who want eight beds under one roof and a pub close by.
