The Stone Barn

The Stone Barn is a barn conversion on the outskirts of Uploders, a village close to Bridport, with one double bedroom for two guests. Double doors open into an open-plan room with the kitchen, dining area and sitting area together. A stone wall, a wood floor, a beamed ceiling and a woodburning stove set the tone, and underfloor heating runs alongside the stove.

The double bedroom has an en-suite with a freestanding bath, a basin and a WC, and a separate wet room has a shower, a basin and a WC. The kitchen has an electric oven, grill and hob, a microwave, a fridge with an ice box, a washing machine, a dishwasher and a coffee machine. There is a TV, a DVD player and a radio.

Please read the restrictions before booking. The barn does not accept children, pets or smoking, and there is no WiFi. There is some traffic noise from the nearby A35. The electricity supply cannot support charging an electric vehicle, so guests are asked not to charge one from the property. A small patio sits outside and parking is for one car. The barn can also be booked alongside a second property, and the two together sleep six.

Fuel, power and a starter pack of logs are included, along with Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels and bathroom products. Secure bike storage is available by arrangement if you tell the owners beforehand. The pub is 0.9 miles away and the nearest shop 2.5 miles. It suits a couple who want a self-contained barn for two, with no children or pets.
