Waterside Lodge Dorset

Waterside Lodge is a detached, lodge-style property in Sturminster Marshall, near Wimborne Minster, set beside a fishing lake. A gated entrance leads to a long shared gravel driveway through the adjacent touring park, ending at the lodge's private entrance. It sleeps four.

The two double bedrooms are on the ground floor, each with an en-suite shower room with a rainfall shower and a WC. An open-plan space across the front has large glass doors with panoramic views of the lake, and holds the lounge with a Smart TV and a wood burner (logs included), a contemporary kitchen and a dining area. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge, a freezer and a dishwasher, and there is a Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine (pods not included). The hallway has a boot room and a utility space with a washing machine.

Sliding doors open onto a covered deck with a hot tub and furniture, and open lawns run down to the lake. The lake is unenclosed and shared, so take care with children, and guests cannot use it for swimming, watersports or fishing. A gas BBQ is available on request.

Parking is ample and off-road. One dog is allowed, kept on a lead outside because of the birds and wildlife on site, and additional charges may apply. CCTV covers the shared front drive and the rear of the property and access gate. The beach is 8 miles away, and a shop and pub are within 1 mile. The lodge suits a couple, or two couples, who want a hot tub and a lake view.
