Waterside

Waterside is a renovated ground-floor apartment in Weymouth, and the lounge looks towards the town bridge, so you can watch it open and close for yachts. The whole apartment is on the ground floor, but there are steps: one leads into the apartment and three rise to the bedrooms, including the one with the en-suite. A shop and pub are 5 minutes away, and the beach is 10 minutes.

The main bedroom is a king-size double with an en-suite shower, basin and WC. The second bedroom has twin single beds, which can be made up as a super king if you ask at least two weeks before arrival; without a request they stay as two singles. A separate bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. The open-plan living area combines the kitchen, dining space and sitting area, and the appliances run to a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, fridge and freezer. There are also a TV, DVD player, iPod dock, WiFi and a selection of books.

One well-behaved dog is welcome, but not a large one. A cot and highchair are available if you mention them when booking. Parking is on the road, with a Zone L permit available subject to spaces, and a space cannot be guaranteed. The apartment does not take stag or hen parties, and smoking is not allowed. Weymouth's annual festivals bring some road closures near the harbour. It suits a couple or a small family who want a harbour-side base with a dog.
