Willow Barn in the Marshwood Vale

Willow Barn is a contemporary home in the Marshwood Vale, at Birdsmoor Gate near Charmouth and not far from Whitchurch Canonicorum. It is booked for six. The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area has a vaulted ceiling, oak details and large bi-fold doors, with a wood burner at its centre and the first basket of logs included.

The U-shaped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a microwave. Of the three bedrooms, one has a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room, one has a double bed, and the bunk room, suited to children, also holds a shortened single bed. The family bathroom has a bath and a separate shower. A sofa bed in the lounge is an extra sleeping place, but the house remains a six-person booking. A travel cot and highchair can be provided.

On the private patio are furniture, a hot tub and a charcoal barbecue. A separate field is set aside for dogs, who may run off the lead at the owners' risk, and it has a fire pit and a picnic bench. Two dogs are allowed, additional charges may apply, and the owner may accept another dog on request. Parking is private and off-road for two cars.

The shop and the pub are 3 miles away, and the beach is 10 miles, so a car is part of any stay here. The barn suits a family or two couples with dogs who want a hot tub and a separate field for the dogs.
