Wyvern Cottage

Wyvern Cottage is a Grade 2 listed cottage in the historic quarter of Swanage, with the old mill pond opposite and the parish church close by. You come in through an arched passage from Church Hill into the kitchen diner, which has an extendable table with seating for six. The pub and the shop are 0.1 miles away and the beach is 0.5 miles.

A step down from the kitchen leads to a lounge with three large sofas, a Smart TV and a wood burner. A utility room off the kitchen holds the washing machine, and there is a downstairs WC. The kitchen has an electric hob and oven, a dishwasher, a combi microwave oven and a fridge with a freezer compartment. A welcome pack is provided, and the cottage has internet access.

The first floor has a front bedroom with a super-king bed that zips and links and can be made into twins, a rear king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and a family bathroom with a bath. A second flight of stairs, relatively steep and narrow, leads to a double bedroom looking towards the mill pond and the Purbeck hills, which may be hard going for anyone with limited mobility. Outside is a furnished courtyard garden that is not enclosed from the neighbouring property.

There is no off-road parking. Parking is on the street, and you can unload outside the cottage. Two dogs are welcome, and additional charges may apply. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request when booking. The cottage suits a family or three couples who want a period house in the old part of town and are fine with stairs.
