2 The Cedars

2 The Cedars is a split-level apartment on Sherborne Lane in Lyme Regis, in a building that used to be a local pub, The Crown and Anchor. It spreads over the ground and lower ground floors. The ground floor is an open-plan living area with ash-framed windows, a Smart TV, a dresser and a breakfast bar. The kitchen has an electric oven, an induction hob, a dishwasher, a Nespresso machine, an air fryer, a kettle and a toaster.

The king-size bedroom is on the ground floor, with direct access to a private, enclosed patio, and the shower room beside it has a walk-in shower. A single bedroom on the lower ground floor takes the apartment to three guests. Heating is by gas central heating, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent.

The lane is pedestrian only, with no vehicle access, though you may be able to stop at the end to load and unload. The approach is up a steep hill, which is worth knowing before you book. Instead of a parking space, one permit is supplied for Woodmead car park on Hill Road, a short walk away. One small, well-behaved dog is welcome, and smoking is not allowed. A Good Housekeeping bond is payable. The shop and pub are 0.1 miles away and the beach is 0.2. It suits a couple with a dog, or with a child in the single room.
