Little West Hill Studio

Little West Hill Studio is an architect-designed mezzanine studio within a short walk of Lyme Regis, sleeping three. The bedroom sits on a mezzanine and has a double futon bed, while the living area has a double sofa bed, which guests should ask to have made up when booking. Wood panelling, exposed ceiling beams and a woodburning-effect stove give the open-plan room its character.

French doors lead from the sitting area to a terrace with furniture and far reaching sea views. The kitchen is small, with an electric oven and grill, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge and a freezer, and the studio has a utility room, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. A wet room has a shower, a basin and a WC. The studio is heated by gas central heating and has a TV, DVD player, CD player and WiFi.

Two access points need thought. The studio is reached by external stairs, and the mezzanine bedroom by a ladder rather than stairs, which matters if you have mobility issues. Only children over the age of 7 are accepted.

Off-road parking takes one car, a shop is 0.3 miles away and a pub 0.1 miles. The studio is smoke-free and does not take pets. A good-housekeeping bond is payable on top. It suits a couple, or a small family with older children, who are happy with a ladder to bed.
