5 The Beaches

5 The Beaches is a one-bedroom apartment on the second floor of a seafront building in Weymouth. The open-plan living area has sash-style windows with views over the esplanade and beach and out along the Jurassic coastline, and the modern kitchen has an electric hob and oven, a microwave, a slimline dishwasher and a fridge freezer. A washing machine sits in the hallway cupboard.

The king-size bedroom is off the hallway, and the bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. The apartment sleeps two. If you book it with 6 The Beaches, the only other second-floor apartment, the two together sleep four, and 5 The Beaches has enough seating for everyone.

Access is by stairs from the esplanade door up to the second floor, and there is no lift or balcony. A pushchair has to be carried up and stored in the hallway, and there is no highchair or cot, so bring your own. Parking is on the street under a Zone F permit, subject to availability, so a space cannot be guaranteed, and the permit runs to 22 May 2027, subject to council renewal. The nearest pay and display car park is at Weymouth Pavilion, a few minutes' walk away.

The seafront is lively, with pubs, restaurants and late bars alongside, some open until 4am, and festivals bring road closures and parking restrictions. The harbour and Nothe Fort are within walking distance and the town centre is two minutes from the door. It suits a couple who want to be in the middle of things.
