Amber House

Amber House is a reverse-level home in Dorchester, where the bedroom is on the ground floor and the living space is upstairs. The double bedroom is the only bedroom, so it sleeps two. A hallway leads to a shower room with a walk-in shower, a basin and a WC, and to a utility area with the washing machine. That shower room is the only bathroom in the house.

Up the stairs, the first floor is one open-plan room with the kitchen, a dining table for two and a sitting area. The kitchen has an electric oven, an induction hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a kettle and a toaster. The house has central heating, a TV and WiFi, and fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included.

A sliding door from the living space opens onto a courtyard with outdoor furniture. Off-road parking takes one car. The shop is 0.1 miles away, the pub 0.4 miles and the river 1.3 miles, and a choice of eateries is within walking reach, so a car-free stay is possible. A good-housekeeping bond is payable.

Pets and smoking are not allowed. It suits a couple who want a base in the town and are happy to climb a flight of stairs to the living room.
