Arthurs House

Arthurs House is a two-bedroom cottage in Sydling St Nicholas, a village in the Dorset National Landscape, near Cerne Abbas. It sleeps four, in a super-king-size bedroom and a double. One of the beds has a cabin-style design and is reached from the foot of the bed only.

You step from the street straight into an open-plan lounge and dining area. There is a wood burner, with the first basket of logs supplied, and a Smart TV. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a fridge and a washing machine. The family bathroom is on the ground floor and has a shower over the bath, and both bedrooms are upstairs.

Out of the kitchen, the enclosed courtyard garden is bounded by stone walls and fencing, with decking and outdoor furniture. Parking is on the street outside the property and depends on availability. The cottage has a private water supply.

Two dogs are allowed, with additional charges that may apply. A pub or restaurant is 300 metres away, the shop is 3 miles and the beach is 16 miles, so the shop and coast mean a drive. The cottage suits a couple or small family, with or without dogs, who want a village base.
