The Olde Chapel School House

The Olde Chapel School House is a restored chapel at Duntish, near Cerne Abbas. Inside, the open-plan lounge/diner keeps its stained glass windows and has a wood burner, a Smart TV and a DVD player. The first basket of logs is included from October until the end of March.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a washing machine, and it opens into a conservatory with a view over the countryside. On the ground floor there is also a wet room with a shower and WC, and two adjoining single bedrooms. The rear single leads up a staircase to a den with a TV, a DVD player and a PS2. The super-king-size bedroom is upstairs, with a TV and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. A sofa bed for a child under 10 can be requested when booking, and the booking still sleeps four.

The enclosed garden has furniture and a gas barbecue, and the private hot tub looks over the hills behind the house. The hot tub is not available in February and March. There is allocated parking for one car, and EV charging is not possible. A footpath from the doorstep crosses fields where livestock may be grazing, and it leads to the next village and its pub.

Two dogs are allowed, with additional charges that may apply. A pub and shop are within walking distance. The chapel suits a family of four, or two couples, who want a hot tub and are happy to share two single rooms.
