Toller - The Hide

Toller - The Hide is an end-of-terrace, L-shaped, single-storey cottage in Middlemarsh, a village near Sherborne and within reach of Cerne Abbas. It is entered from a shared courtyard, and it sleeps four in a king-size bedroom and a twin.

The lounge, kitchen and dining space share one open room with high ceilings and exposed beams. The lounge end has a wood burner, with the first basket of logs included, and a 55-inch Smart TV sits in the same area. The kitchen end has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a Nespresso-compatible coffee machine, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine. The cottage has underfloor heating. The two bedrooms share one bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC.

Doors open from the main room onto a covered veranda with furniture, facing a paddock and open country. A small stream runs under the veranda, and a pond in the owners' garden across the driveway has post and rail fencing, so keep an eye on children. Off-road parking is available for two cars.

Dogs are not allowed. The nearest pub is within a mile and the shop is 3.5 miles away. The cottage suits two couples, or a family with children, who want a single-storey layout and a veranda; the stream and pond mean younger children need watching.
