Bay Tree Cottage

Bay Tree Cottage is a Grade II listed, 18th-century cottage in a terrace in the village of Kingston, on the hill above Corfe Castle. It sleeps eight: six adults and two children. There are three king-size bedrooms. One of them has an adjoining bunk room with two single bunk beds, and these are for guests aged 16 and under only. The family bathroom, with a shower over the bath and a WC, is on the first floor, and the top-floor king-size has an en-suite shower room. A further WC is downstairs.

The ground floor has a living and dining room with a wood burner, with the first basket of logs supplied, and a Smart TV. A galley-style kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge/freezer, and the utility room has a washing machine. One flight up is a playroom and games room with a Smart TV, books and games. The pub is 50 yards away, the beach 4 miles and the shop 2 miles.

Four steps lead up to the enclosed rear garden, which has lawns and a sheltered patio with a table and chairs for eight. Parking is unrestricted and on the street. The cottage has unlevel flooring and steps throughout, so it is unsuitable for anyone with limited mobility. It is in a quiet residential area and is not suitable for parties or fireworks. Dogs are not allowed. It suits a family with older children or a group of friends who are comfortable with stairs. Arrival is from 4pm and departure before 10am.
