Purbeck View - Kingston

Purbeck View is an 18th-century end-of-terrace cottage on a hilltop in the village of Kingston, near Corfe Castle. It sleeps eight in four bedrooms: two doubles, a twin and a bunk room in the converted outbuildings. There are two bathrooms, a bathroom and a shower room, plus a separate downstairs WC. The views run across the surrounding countryside towards Corfe Castle.

The cottage has many changes of level, low doorways and areas of restricted head height, so it may not be suitable for guests with restricted mobility. The galley-style kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave, a dishwasher, a washer/dryer, a fridge with an ice compartment and a compact freezer. The lounge fireplace is for show only, as the woodburner is not in use. A TV and DVD player are in the dining room. A travel cot and high chair are available, and towels are not included but can be hired.

The enclosed garden wraps around the whole cottage and has a lawn, two terraces, a barbecue and outdoor games, with a traditional ha-ha at the bottom. Off-road parking at the back takes three cars, and an electric vehicle charging point is on site. Two dogs are allowed, and additional charges may apply. The shop is 2 miles away, the beach 4 miles, and a pub is within walking distance. It suits a group of up to eight who are comfortable with stairs and steps and want room outside for children or dogs. Arrival is from 5pm and departure before 10am.
