Field House

Field House is a detached family house in its own large garden at Harmans Cross, on the slopes of Nine Barrow Down, near Corfe Castle. It sleeps eight in four upstairs bedrooms: a double, two twins and one with bunk beds. One twin has an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath, and the family bathroom has a power shower over the bath. Both are five steps down. All four rooms look over the valley, and one has glimpses of the sea.

Downstairs, the garden room is five metres square with extensive glazing, a dining table and seating around a 55-inch Smart TV. The sitting room has a 48-inch Smart TV and a Blu-ray and DVD player, and the dining room has a large table. The kitchen has an electric hob, a double oven, a fridge/freezer, a microwave, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The house is all-electric, with an air source heat pump, and the kitchen and garden room have underfloor heating. Broadband and Wi-Fi are included, as are bed linen and towels, though beach towels should be brought.

The south-facing garden is mostly lawn and is not fully enclosed, so dog owners and families with young children are asked to take care. Private parking takes four cars. The drive is an unmade track from Tabbits Hill Lane that may not suit low cars, and there is another way in by a gate in Sandy Hill Lane behind the house. The pub is 2.5 miles away and the shop 3 miles. One dog is allowed, and additional charges may apply. Confirm the pet policy when booking. It suits a family of up to eight who plan to drive. Arrival is from 4pm and departure is before 9am.
