Big Oak View

Big Oak View sleeps ten in five bedrooms, in a converted farm building on a gated complex of 16 properties in Charmouth. The beach, shops and pubs are all within walking distance.

The ground floor has a twin bedroom with zip-and-link beds, which can become a super-king-size if you ask when booking, a wet room with a WC and a further separate WC. The dining area has oak flooring and opens into a lounge with three sofas and a TV/DVD, and French doors lead onto a private enclosed patio with outdoor furniture. The kitchen has an integrated oven and gas hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer.

Upstairs are four more bedrooms. One king-size has a TV and an en-suite shower room. A second king-size and two twins share a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC.

Guests can use the covered, heated outdoor pool at the neighbouring holiday park, which is open on set dates through the season. The park also has a coffee shop and a children's play area, and the health club (gym, indoor pool, sauna and steam room) is for over-18s at an extra charge. Parking is on site and arrivals are between 4pm and 8pm. Short breaks are only available in off-peak weeks. Stag and hen parties are not permitted, dogs are not allowed, and a cot mattress and stairgates are not provided. Electric cars cannot be charged here, and club Wi-Fi costs extra. The house suits a large family, or two families sharing, who want a pool and the beach within reach.
