Blueberry Cottage

Blueberry Cottage is in the village of Cerne Abbas, which is known for the chalk giant on its hill. The front door opens straight into the kitchen/diner, and a porch at the back is a place to leave shoes. The sitting room has a woodburning stove and a Smart TV, and a stag painting hangs on the wall.

Upstairs are three bedrooms for five: a king-size, a twin with views across the countryside and a single. All three have painted furniture. The one bathroom has a bath, a walk-in shower, a basin and a WC. The kitchen has an electric oven, an induction hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer and a washer/dryer. Electric central heating backs up the stove, and fuel, power, a starter pack for the stove, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. Wifi is provided.

The rear garden is enclosed, with a lawn, a patio and furniture. Parking is roadside. Cerne Abbas has three pubs, The New Inn, The Giant and The Royal Oak, plus a village shop, and the nearest shop and pub are 0.4 miles from the cottage.

No pets and no smoking are allowed, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. The cottage suits a family of up to five, or a couple travelling with friends, who want a stove-warmed sitting room and a village within walking distance.
