Braeside

Braeside is a Victorian house in Lyme Regis with five bedrooms for up to ten guests, arranged over three floors. The shop is 0.7 miles away, the pub 0.5 miles and the beach 0.8 miles. Off-road parking takes two cars. The enclosed terraced garden has a patio, mature trees and a decked seating area at the rear that looks over Lyme Regis and the sea beyond. Pets are not allowed.

The kitchen/diner and the sitting room each have a woodburning stove, and logs are not supplied but can be bought locally. There is also a utility room and a games room with a pool table and table tennis. The super-king-size and king-size bedrooms each have an en-suite walk-in shower, and a twin room and the family bathroom, with a free-standing bath and separate WC, share their floor. The second floor has a double and a twin. A cloakroom has a basin and WC. Altogether there are three bathrooms.

The kitchen has an induction hob, a range oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and a coffee machine with six pods per booking, and there are a Smart TV and WiFi. Fuel and power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. A highchair and travel cot are available on request. The second-floor bedrooms have sloping ceilings and are reached by a narrow, steep staircase, which could be difficult for young children and anyone with mobility issues. Water pressure fluctuates with local use, so only one shower may run at a time. A good housekeeping bond is payable. Smoking is not allowed. It suits two families or a group of friends who want a games room and a bedroom each.
