Somerhill

Somerhill is a detached house over three floors in Lyme Regis, with five bedrooms for ten guests. Besides the kitchen/diner and a utility room, it has a sitting room with a woodburning stove, a dining room, a conservatory and a cloakroom. The kitchen has an electric oven and grill, a gas hob, a microwave, a dishwasher and a Nespresso machine, and there is a washing machine and tumble dryer too.

Both king-size bedrooms are en-suite, one with a walk-in shower and one with a bath and walk-in shower. Of the three twins, one has a zip-link pair of beds that can be made up as a king-size if you ask before you arrive, and the two on the second floor include one with an en-suite bath. A separate bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. A highchair, travel cot and booster seat are provided.

The enclosed gardens have lawns, a patio and furniture, and a heated outdoor swimming pool that is open from the Easter holidays to the end of September. A first-floor terrace looks over the Jurassic coastline and the sea beyond. Off-road parking takes four cars.

Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included, along with a starter pack of logs, and a good-housekeeping bond is payable. Pets and smoking are not allowed. The shop and the pub are both 0.7 miles away. Somerhill suits a large family gathering or two or three families sharing, who want ten beds, a pool for a summer week and sea views.
