Char Valley

Char Valley is a converted farm building for eight on a gated complex of 16 properties, a short stroll from Charmouth and its beach. Shops and pubs are within walking distance too.

Oak flooring runs through the open-plan lounge and diner, which has a large table, a Freeview TV with DVD player and French doors onto a private patio with garden furniture. The kitchen has an integrated oven and gas hob, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer. On the ground floor, the twin bedroom has zip-and-link beds that can become a super-king-size if you ask when booking, and the ground floor also has a wet room with a WC.

The first floor has three bedrooms: a king-size with a TV and an en-suite shower room, and two twins. The first floor also has a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC, so the cottage has three bathrooms in all.

Guests can use the covered, heated outdoor pool at the neighbouring holiday park, which is open on set dates through the season. A coffee shop and a children's play area are on the park, and over-18s can book the health club (gym, indoor pool, sauna and steam room) for an extra charge. Parking is on site, and arrivals are between 4pm and 8pm. Short breaks are limited to off-peak weeks. Stag and hen parties are not permitted, dogs are not allowed, cot mattresses and stairgates are not provided, electric cars cannot be charged at the property, and club Wi-Fi costs extra. It suits two families or a group of friends who want a pool nearby.
