Pippin

Pippin is a house within walking distance of Charmouth, with a shop 0.2 miles away and a pub 0.1 miles away. The kitchen is on the first floor, and the open-plan sitting and dining area has a woodburning stove and floor-to-ceiling windows with views towards the sea, plus a door onto a balcony. Heating is gas central heating, alongside the stove.

All three bedrooms are on the ground floor. Each has a super-king-size bed on a zip-link, which can be made up as twins if you say so when booking, and one has an en-suite with a walk-in shower. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over, and there is a cloakroom as well. A snug has a sofa bed that can be made up for two more guests, which is how the house reaches eight. A cot can be provided. The kitchen has an electric oven, grill and hob, a fridge, a freezer, a washing machine, a tumble dryer and a dishwasher, and a Smart TV, DVD player and WiFi are provided. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included, but logs for the stove are not.

The parking area takes two cars. The house is reached through a narrow archway, 2.2 metres high, 2.5 wide and 6.2 long, and along an unmade track that is uneven in places, so check your vehicle fits. Outside there are a wooden veranda, a small lawned area at the front and a small gravelled seating area with a barbecue and garden furniture. The house does not allow pets or smoking.

It suits a large family, or friends sharing, who want all three bedrooms on one floor and are happy to bring their own logs.
