Single-storey barn for four on a farm courtyard with shared pool

Cuckoo Cottage is a single-storey barn conversion around a courtyard on the owners' farm at Folke, near Sherborne. A gate at the edge of the grounds opens onto a network of footpaths.

The living area is one large room with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. The lounge end has sofas, a wood burner and a Smart TV with DVD, the dining table sits to one side, and the kitchen at the back has an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The double bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. The twin room has an en-suite wet room with a shower and WC.

Outside the door is a private, unenclosed patio with a lawn and garden furniture. Guests can also use the shared grounds, which have a children's play area and walks beside the lake. The indoor pool is shared, and each cottage has a designated two-hour slot every day with sole use, the times being shown in the cottage on arrival. The first basket of logs is provided, and extra baskets can be bought.

One dog is allowed, with additional charges, and dogs are asked to be kept on leads in the shared grounds. The pub and shop are 0.5 miles away and the beach is 30 miles. It suits a couple or two friends who each want an en-suite, and who like a pool and farm walks.
